I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Skyers for the last five years as our Education Coordinator. Dr. Skyers early childhood experience and knowledge is undeniable. As our Education Coordinator she has provided us with trainings and knowledge on CLASS, ECERS, Highscope Curriculum and DRDP's. Not only is Dr. Skyers knowledgeable in early childhood education, but she has also been a wonderful mentor to many of us fellow teachers. She has provided a space where we feel safe and can bring up challenges to work through together. With Dr. Skyer's strategies, support, and feedback, we have become better early childhood educators that are better able to serve our children, our families, and our community. Thank you Dr. Skyers for all you do for our program and all your support!

Dr. Skyers has been my supervisor for 10 years. She came into our program with a wealth of knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education. Whenever we had a problem she had a solution. From Classroom Management, Classroom Organization to Lesson Planning and creating Individualized Lesson Plans for children who needed specific help in certain areas. She helped me make my job easier and taught me how to manage my time so that I could work on areas of importance within my daily duties. I learned a lot from Dr. Skyers and with her help, it fine-tuned me into the teacher I am today.

Dr. Skyers is a very knowledgeable educational coordinator and definitely an important asset for our preschool program. She carries out goals, policies, and activities that need to be implemented in our Head Start and State Preschool Programs so that we meet our standards and/or policy procedures. Dr. Skyers provides training and assistance to staff when needed. For instance, during my CLASS evaluation, Dr. Skyers provided direction and guidance to better support my classroom by offering techniques and modeling examples on how to better my scores for the future.

Dr. Skyers has been the Education Specialist for the California State Preschool Program and Head Start Program at Hemet Unified School District. As a coordinator, Dr. Gayle has shown throughout the years her level of expertise and professionalism. Dr. Skyers’s skills are focused on the overall well-being of the individual child. She focuses on their social and emotional development as well as their communication and physical development. Dr. Skyer's puts an emphasis on early literacy development and math skills. Making sure that each child receives the best education, and that each family is given the right resources in order to better meet each child’s needs are Dr. Skyer's areas of specialization. Dr. Gayle is always accessible and willing to help those in need. She goes above and beyond in order to make sure each staff member feels supported and motivated.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Skyers for the past years, and during this time, she has demonstrated many outstanding qualities. For example, she has been an outstanding leader. She has helped others with their role in learning the curriculum, policies, strategies, and techniques and by having knowledge of the program. She also continues to attend and participate in meetings, training, and conferences for our program. Additionally, she has given me great guidance and has helped me throughout these years by reviewing my goals and evaluation. Also, has shown that she is very knowledgeable about the program and continues to be a great asset to the program. Dr. Skyer's is highly knowledgeable about CLASS Assessments and ECCERS Assessments and has reviewed our scores. In addition, when I need assistance or send her an email, she is prompt to respond and answer any additional questions I may have. When we transitioned to distance learning, she guided the staff to a new way of teaching and learning for our students. When I had questions, she answered and was there for others, especially those who struggled with technology. She helped with google classroom and Google Meets with the links to do our small group. It was a great help and relief when adapting to a different situation than the norm. Another reason why Dr. Skyers is a great education specialist is she has been there when parents need assistance and any concerns arise she is there to help the parent. It continues to be a great pleasure working with Dr. Skyers because she has guided me through these years and shows that she cares for the staff. She has done amazing things such as continuing her education, receiving her doctorate, and obtaining her other professions.

Dr. Skyers has been a great mentor and coordinator in our preschool program. She is knowledgeable about best practices in early childhood education. She is always willing to provide feedback, support and effective strategies to apply in the classroom. She understands the challenges and milestones of early childhood to help educators, students and their families. I enjoy working with her and know that she will always help me to be a successful teacher. Thank you for everything you do for us!

Dr. Skyers serves as an Early Childhood Educational Coordinator for our Preschool/Head Start Program. Dr. Skyers promotes the school readiness of the children of our program by providing technical assistance, mentoring, and training to the staff and agency. She is dedicated to the work she does and that is evident through the experience I have as a teacher. Ms. Skyers is always seeking ways to provide staff with resources, feedback and support that leads for all our students to be successful. I feel honored to work alongside Dr. Skyers. I admire her drive in how she is self-motived to continue to improve throughout her career.

It has been a true pleasure supporting Dr. Skyers the past 13 years in the Early Childhood Education program. During my working relationship with Dr. Skyers, I have experienced an individual that provides direction, guidance, and support to staff and families and children. As the Education Coordinator, she is a mentor, works hard, and carries herself in a professional, respectable manner towards our families, staff and students. In addition, she is an exceptionally gifted Educator; she helps to develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children. When in the classroom, Dr.Skyers employs a variety of educational techniques, such as storytelling, educational play, and media to teach children. She is friendly towards the children, carries conversations, and acknowledges each child on an individual basis, at the same time, observing each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem. As an Education coordinator, she has the difficult task of making challenging and positive changes to improve our Preschool Programs to enhance a comfortable positive atmosphere for staff and students. Her directions keep our program reaching new highs of improvement to increase a higher level of education for our families and students.
