Hey Diddle Diddle – Nursery Rhyme

Materials Needed:

• 1 Piece of chart paper
• 1 Sharpie
• Printed pictures of a cat, fiddle, cow, moon, dog, dish, and a spoon of the internet

Directions:

Write your nursery rhyme but include the pictures to replace keywords.
Having an activity like this will build children’s self-confidence to read. A preschool child does not totally have the ability to read, but with additonal support from pictures they are able to manipulate the rhyme which fosters reading since it boost confidence.
