About Our Company and Founder

Cynthia Skyers-Gordon, Ed.D
Founder & Executive Director, Kidz Exec Excellence, Inc.

Cynthia Skyers-Gordon is the founder of Kidz Exec Excellence, Inc., a nonprofit organization founded on a deep commitment to supporting early childhood educators through access, equity, and knowledge. Kidz Exec was born from a simple but powerful belief: teachers should not have to pay for the tools and resources they need to do their jobs well.

With over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, Dr. Skyers-Gordon has held nearly every role in the field. Her professional journey began as an assistant teacher in a Head Start program in Los Angeles, California. It progressed through positions as a teacher, site supervisor, director, education coordinator, and district-level educational leader. Her career has spanned multiple settings, including Head Start, private early childhood programs, and public school districts across California, Georgia, and Florida.

Dr. Skyers-Gordon currently serves in a district leadership role as an education coordinator and vice-principal–level administrator, while also teaching early childhood education courses at a two-year community college. Her work bridges classroom practice, program leadership, higher education, and systems-level support.

She holds a Doctorate in Education, with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. In addition, she brings a strong foundation in organizational leadership through her Bachelor’s degree in Business, with a minor in Management and Leadership. This unique combination of educational and business training allows her to support educators not only in teaching and learning but also in program structure, leadership, and sustainability.

Kidz Exec Excellence began as a for-profit foundation. Still, Dr. Skyers-Gordon intentionally chose to transition the organization to a nonprofit after years of observing the financial and professional strain on educators. Teachers often struggle to access quality materials, curriculum ideas, and practical strategies, especially those working with limited budgets, challenging behaviors, or minimal support. Charging educators for essential resources, she believed, only deepened the gap.

Rather than holding onto decades of knowledge and experience, Dr. Skyers-Gordon chose to share it freely.

“Knowledge is meant to be given, not stored away. If educators can’t afford it, then the knowledge never reaches the children, and that’s where it matters most.”

Through Kidz Exec Excellence, educators receive free downloadable resources, including lesson plans, classroom materials, visual activity samples, planning tools, and adaptable strategies aligned with early childhood best practices. The organization also offers professional consultations to programs seeking guidance, clarity, and practical support.

At its core, Kidz Exec Excellence exists to uplift educators, strengthen classrooms, and ensure that children receive high-quality learning experiences, regardless of resources or location. Dr. Skyers-Gordon’s mission is rooted in service, mentorship, and the belief that when educators are supported, children thrive.
