I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Skyers for the past five years in her role as our Education Coordinator. Her expertise and depth of knowledge in early childhood education are undeniable. During her time with us, she has provided invaluable training and guidance on CLASS, ECERS, the HighScope Curriculum, and DRDPs. Beyond her knowledge, Dr. Skyers has been a remarkable mentor to many of us. She has created a safe, supportive space where we can openly share challenges and work through them together. Dr. Skyers has been my supervisor for the past 10 years, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education. Whenever a challenge arose, she always had a solution, whether it involved classroom management, organization, lesson planning, or developing individualized lesson plans for children who needed targeted support in specific areas. Her guidance not only made my job easier but also taught me how to manage my time effectively, allowing me to focus on the most important aspects of my daily duties. I have learned so much from Dr. Skyers, and her mentorship has truly helped shape me into the teacher I am today.

Dr. Skyers is a highly knowledgeable Education Coordinator and an invaluable asset to our preschool program. She ensures that the goals, policies, and activities required in our Head Start and State Preschool Programs are implemented effectively so that we meet all standards and policy procedures. She also provides timely training and support to staff whenever needed. For example, during my CLASS evaluation, Dr. Skyers offered clear direction and hands-on guidance, modeling effective techniques and strategies to strengthen my teaching practices. Her feedback not only supported my immediate needs but also helped me improve my scores and overall classroom quality for the future.

Dr. Skyers has served as the Education Specialist for the California State Preschool Program and Head Start Program at Hemet Unified School District. Throughout the years, she has consistently demonstrated her expertise and professionalism. Her skills are centered on the overall well-being of each child, with a focus on social-emotional growth, communication skills, and physical development. She places strong emphasis on early literacy and math, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality education. Additionally, Dr. Skyers works closely with families to provide the resources they need to best support their children’s learning and development. Always accessible and willing to help, Dr. Skyers goes above and beyond to ensure that staff members feel supported, motivated, and equipped to succeed. Her dedication benefits not only the children and families we serve, but also the entire educational community.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Skyers for several years, and during this time, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional qualities as a leader and mentor. She has guided staff in understanding curriculum, policies, strategies, and techniques, while sharing her deep knowledge of our program. She actively participates in meetings, trainings, and conferences, ensuring our program remains strong and up to date. Dr. Skyers has provided me with invaluable guidance over the years, reviewing my goals and evaluations, and offering thoughtful feedback to support my professional growth. She is highly knowledgeable about CLASS Assessments and ECCERS Assessments, and has reviewed our scores to help us identify strengths and areas for improvement. Whenever I reach out with questions or requests, whether by email or in person, she responds promptly and thoroughly. When our program transitioned to distance learning, Dr. Skyers led the way in helping staff adapt to a completely new teaching environment. She supported those who struggled with technology, provided training on Google Classroom and Google Meet, and ensured we had the tools and links needed to run effective small groups. Her guidance during that time was an incredible help and made the transition much smoother. Dr. Skyers also works closely with parents, addressing concerns and providing assistance whenever needed. Her care extends beyond the classroom to the families we serve, reflecting her commitment to the overall well-being of our community. It has been a true privilege to work with Dr. Skyers. She not only supports and motivates her staff but also inspires us through her own achievements, including earning her doctorate and expanding her professional expertise. She is, without a doubt, a tremendous asset to our program.

Dr. Skyers serves as the Early Childhood Education Coordinator for our Preschool/Head Start Program.
