Visual Instruction Pathways - Supporting Dual Language Learners

Activities for K–3 Educators

Children learning in more than one language often benefit from visual support alongside verbal instruction. The Visual Instruction Pathways provide step-by-step visual guides that mirror spoken directions, helping students better understand routines, assignments, and classroom expectations.

These supportive visuals reduce confusion, strengthen comprehension, and build confidence for dual language learners in K–3 classrooms.

Skill Focus:

  • Language comprehension

  • Visual learning support

  • Classroom independence
