How to Use This Activity

  • Ask: “Look around. What helps you feel calm in our classroom?”

  • Children name an item, space, or routine:

    • books

    • cozy corner

    • teacher’s voice

    • breathing

  • Create a “Calm Collector List” on chart paper.

Why This Matters

Children learn that they can identify calm, not just wait for adults to provide it.
