The No-Voice Reset
Educators speak all day, teaching, redirecting, explaining, and comforting.
Sometimes the most powerful form of care is silence.
The No-Voice Reset is a micro-rest practice: short, intentional silence to help you come back to center.
How to Use This Activity
Choose one moment during your day:
before students arrive
during lunch
during prep
after dismissal
Set a timer for 5 minutes and do not speak.
No phone calls. No quick responses. Just quiet.
If needed, write what you would normally say.
Why This Matters
Silence gives your body a break from constant output.
It’s not avoidance, it’s recovery.
Closing Reflection
You’re allowed to rest without proving you earned it.
